What CarLingo is

CarLingo is a reference and guidance tool for understanding vehicle fault codes, warning lights, and repair information. It is not a substitute for a qualified mechanic.

Safety

Never rely solely on the app for safety-critical decisions. For red warning lights (oil pressure, overheating, brakes, airbag, high voltage), stop the vehicle safely and seek professional help. You are responsible for operating your vehicle safely.

OBD-II use

Reading and clearing fault codes is at your own risk. Clearing a code does not fix the underlying problem. Some vehicles may behave differently after a code clear; if in doubt, consult a professional.

Accuracy

We work to keep the code database and repair procedures accurate, but we cannot guarantee every entry. Verify critical information with a qualified technician.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt the Lingo backend, or scrape the bundled database for redistribution.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
